So this time of year is one of those things where a lot of people, especially if you are trying to lose weight, feel bad about yourselves and can become quite stressed.

And it’s very easy to fall backwards and almost slip further and further away from that goal that you really want to achieve.

So I thought I’d give you some tips or points that I find are the most helpful things you can do without feeling like you need to deprive yourself and slip backwards.

1. Stress. Try to avoid stress and not feeling stressed.

If you’re somebody who does get stressed out this time of year, perhaps look at coping mechanisms to help you reduce the amount of stress that your body is feeling. (Like the one I sent the other day about writing it out)

2. Water. Yes, water again. It’s something that pretty much is the most important thing in everything that we do.

Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. It’s going to help your body stay primed and work at its best possible, even if your diet’s not 100% drinking water’s going to help
keep your body working as well as it can be.

3. Sleep.Try and make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep over the festive period. And it needs to be nice, deep sleep so that you’re not feeling tired and overwhelmed because, come January, if you have got away from this goal, the likelihood is you’re not going to start want to try and hit it hard.

So make sure that you do get plenty of sleep and relax.

And then my bonus tip:

4. Enjoy it. It’s only Christmas once a year, and one thing that Elly and I are huge on with our clients is making sure you enjoy yourself because the last thing you want to do is get to January, have goals, start working towards them, and wish you’d actually enjoyed Christmas like you should do and like you deserve to.
