Do you do this?
Go through the motions.
One thing I’ve been guilty of in the past is literally
just going through the motions.
Doing something for the sake of it.
I’m thinking that it’s acceptable and it’s
okay to say I’ve done it.
I did this in my previous businesses.
I did this in my previous jobs.
I did this with my training.
I did this when I used to box.
I used to think just showing up was enough.
But I’m hear to tell you that there’s a huge difference
between just showing up and actually connecting with
and following through and doing the work to your best
The reason why I’m sharing this with you is because your
results in all areas of your life are going to improve when
you do more than just showing up.
Because I’m going to be completely honest with you here
and you might not like it.
There’s no point in showing up if you’re not going to give
your all to doing something.
Showing up actually makes you look worst if you’re not go in
and commit and do everything forward.
It would be better sat at home and not bother with.
So my message today is simple.
Don’t just go through the motions, drifting from one thing to the
next, thinking that because you turned up it was enough.
Give your all into everything that’s important to you.
Give 110%, and then you know that the results you’re going
to get are the best you possibly could have got.
It doesn’t always mean you’re going to get the results you
want, but it definitely means you’re going to get closer to
them than you would do if you just go through the motions.
And what’s more, when you’re just going through the motions
and you’ve got children and they see you just go through the
motions, they’re going to think that’s acceptable.
For example, they’re going to think it’s okay to just show up
at school and not bother doing the work, not bother taking it
in, not bother trying to learn and understand more.
Well we all know that just showing up really isn’t enough.
