If you want to lose weight just doing some exercise isn’t enough in fact its far from enough. There are so many other factors to consider….
Here’s why- what happens when you have a bad day?
Turn to food…..
Or when you pick up an injury?
Sedentary and cant sustain the activity level?
And the reason I say this is because I see so many people embark on a weight loss journey focusing just on the exercise.
Look in January every man and his (or her) dog Joined the gym….. Where have they gone?
It didnt fit their lifestyle right? Bored? Injured?
Now don’t get me wrong exercise can really help, however if you have an unhealthy relationship with yourself, or food….
That needs to be addressed first and foremost,
Only then can you start to look at the exercise side of things.
And when it comes to exercise it has to fit the lifestyle (I know I’m like a broken record when it comes to that) but I get frustrated seeing people slugging away in the gym for hours taking them away from their family time when it may not be necessary.
Then understand the basics of nutrition- nothing to complicated but get the basics then follow a formula that understands that and fits your lifestyle.
Then go onto exercise. Yes certain exercises can be better for results but if they’re not sustainable and you don’t enjoy them there’s no point. Find what you enjoy and fits your lifestyle:)
