The outcome is never important.
That’s right, I honestly believe that the outcome
is never really what’s important to us no matter
what goes on in our life.
What is important is how we react to the outcome.
By this I mean, yes, there’s always going to be
good and bad things that happen to us.
That’s part of life and we can beat ourselves up
about it or, we can dust ourselves off and decide to
push on to keep moving forward.
And I have to admit, I’ve had times where I’ve felt like
giving up. Where I felt like throwing the towel in, even
since i’ve been self-employed on several occasions,
and even in the last six months or so.
There’s times I felt like I wanted to stop being self
employed and just get a job because it’s easier.
Can switch my phone off and not bother.
Even though I love what I do, sometimes I would
just love to not worry about work for a day or two.
And the reason why I’m sharing this with you is because
it’s never really about the actual thing that happens to
us, the result that we get.
It’s really about how we react, how we deal with that
and how we move forward. Because there’s never a
settling point.
We never just rest once that happens to us. We just stand
still and that’s it. We either go backwards or forwards
and my goal is always to keep trying to move forward.
And to help others keep moving forward.
So please consider this, next time something that could
only be described as shit happens to you.
Remember, it’s not the thing that defines you. It’s how
you deal with it, how you react to it and what action
you decide to take in place of that.
